Is India ready for 4g services?

I saw in some news about 4g services to start in India from 2012. Are we ready yet?
Even 3g has not been popular in India yet. BSNL seems to have some good 3g service nationwide. Other providers are yet to do something credible with 3g.
Vodaphone is a good option, but has limited network.
Tata docomo is halfway on it's mission to provide 3g all over India.
Other service providers are yet to understand what 3g is and what customers want.
Some people who tried Airtel's 3g service are sufferring the most. Seems airtel 3g speeds are 5-10kbps in most areas. And every customer is complaining about huge wrong bill fraud from airtel. Seems airtel billed all 3g users more than 10 times the actual charge.

in such scenario, who will take care of 4g? BSNL, may be. But not in near future.

I believe India is set for first 4G services with Reliance Industries because 4G spectrum auction in June of this year, Infotel Broadband Services, owned by Reliance Industries, won maximum licenses ie.for 22 regions or ‘circles’.

Reliance industiries has not yet confirmed any date to launch this fourth generation service but they are planning in december this year.

Hope very soon we will enjoy this next generation service.

Even 3g havent worked properly in India yet! :?
Service providers just launched some 3g plans that are far from what they promised. For example, airtel customers complaining of getting 5-10 kbps speed with a device that's advertised to give UPTO 7.2mbps.
With hell lots of cheating and unethical practices 3g services have lost credibility.
