Airtel gprs activation not working error

Hello, can you please help why airtel gprs activation is not working when dialing *567# ?
It used to work earlier. But now when I choose the option to 'activate', it says your 'deactivation request is in process' . It's been more than 2 weeks. Customer care people do not know how to solve this and asked me to wait until it deactivates. something is seriusly wrong with airtel
