I think 1234 is correct PIN for airtel sim cards. Don't confuse it with yourphone handset's PIN lock code. That's different.

Thanks lot. It was very helpful when my phone was powered after battery drain, it asked for a pin code. I had no clue what that would be. Simple google search saved my day.

For my Airtel prepaid, 1234 did not work, but 12345 did work.
